Peanut chocolate chip cookies

Writer's picture: Raya SammorRaya Sammor

Whats better then a cookie, a homemade one! You can't get the chewiness and gooiness of a cookie out of a store bought box. The ingredients are almost in everyones pantry because they are super basic. Its so worth it to take a litte extra time to make these cookies, they are so chewy and a little nutty from the peanutbutter and when that chocolate hits your tongue, it makes you forget your worries during that moment.

These cookies are super popular in my household and kids devour them the moment they are out the oven.

Prep time

15 min

Cook time

7-10 min

Servings

40-45 small cookies or 15-17 large cookies

Ingredients

2 eggs room temperature

1 stick of salted butter room temperature

1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp baking powder

2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour

1/2 cup of granulated sugar

3/4 cup of brown sugar

1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips

1 cup of peanut butter chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a stand up mixer, beat butter and peanut butter together till its well combined, add eggs, then both sugars.

Mix well for a few minutes till everything is mixed well and mixture looks creamy.

Add the vanilla and baking powder and mix, then add the flour half cup at a time, slowly, till the flour is fully incorporated.

Add the peanut butter and chocolate chips and mix.

On a baking sheet place parchment paper and with a cookie scooper add your cookies 1 inch apart and bake in the oven for 7-10 minutes.

Make sure not to over bake, take them out when they are still slightly soft, they will harden a little when cooled. If you make large cookies then make sure to bake the cookies a little longer around 15-17 minutes.

Don't forget to enjoy with milk or a cup of coffee!
