This latte is delicious and has a floral taste to it from the lavender, and its also a little exciting because its an unexpected flavor. Theres this little quaint coffee shop called Collins quarter in mid downtown of Savannah. Which i went there just for there mocha lavender latte and after that I was hooked! So I decided why not make it at home. Very simple to make, and your guests will be impressed.
Ingredients
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of sugar
3 tbsp of lavender
1 cup of your preferred milk
Directions
For the lavender syrup, simmer water, sugar, and 2 tbsp of lavender together for around 8 min. Strain when done.
In a separate pot simmer 1 cup of milk with 1 tbsp of lavender, strain when done.
Add as much syrup to sweeten your latte, and pour half a cup of milk to your favorite coffee/espresso and serve!
If youre making for several people then just double your milk and lavender.
