Ingredients Dough 5 cups of white whole wheat flour (divided) 1 pack of active dry yeast 1 tsp of baking powder 2 cups of luke warm oat milk (preferred milk) 1/4 cup of brown sugar 1/4 tsp of salt 1/2 cup of melted coconut oil or butter 1 tsp of vanilla Filling 1/2 cup of applesauce 3/4 cup of brown sugar 2 tbsp of cinnamon Maple Creamcheese frosting 1 tbsp of softened butter 5 oz of whipped creamcheese 1/4 cup of maple syrup 3 tbsp of oat milk 1 tsp of vanilla bean paste or extract Directions In a bowl add 3 1/2 cups of white wholewheat flour, add in 1/4 cup of brown sugar, yeast, and baking powder. Mix set aside. Warm your milk and melt the coconut oil mix together add the vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients then mix with a spatula and let it sit for 45-60 min covered. When the dough has rested and risen add an additional cup of white whole wheat flour and mix well. Then use remaining flour on a clean surface and knead till less sticky. Roll out the dough add the mixed filling and spread evenly. Roll the dough and cut into 9-12 pieces. Place in a buttered dish and bake @350 for 35 min or till done. Mix all your ingredients for the frosting and pour over the cinnamon rolls when they have slightly cooled and enjoy!
