When you think about the holidays, eggnog is on the list. Me personally, wasnt a fan of eggnog till I made. It really makes a difference and this recipe really simple to make.
Ingredients
4 eggs
3/4 cup of sugar
4 cups of whole milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste (optional)
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 - 1/2 tsp of cinnamon (to your taste)
1 cup of milk
1 cup of heavy cream
Directions
Heat 4 cups of milk, do not boil, beat 4 eggs sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon together.
Temper the eggs with the milk slowly.
Put milk mixture back on the stove till starts to thicken. Turn off and add the extra cup of milk, whisk, then let it cool in the refrigerator.
When milk is cool whip up the heavycream.
Add the heavycream to the milk mixture and serve.
