Writer's picture: Raya SammorRaya Sammor

Growing up I didn't know what a danish was, it would always be in the box of pastries made with a guava filling, and it was always my favorite pastry.

These pastries are so simple to make, your guests don't have to know.

Lemon Glaze

1 cup confectioners sugar

Prepare the filling by mixing the creamcheese, sourcream, vanilla, lemon zest, and 1/3 cup of sugar. Cut each pastry sheet into 10-12 strips, connect 2 strips together and twist and roll as if it was a cinnamon roll. Brush the pastry with egg wash, sprinkle sugar and add filling in the middle.

Let the pastries cool slightly then add berries on top and serve.
