Chiffon Cake

Ingredients 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1/3 cup of corn oil 5 egg yolks 6 egg whites 1 cup of sugar divided 1/2 cup of milk 1 1/2 tsp of vanilla bean paste 1 tsp of vanilla extract 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp of cream of tartar Pinch of salt Directions Mix dry ingredients, set aside. Mix wet ingredients then set aside. Then mix wet and dry ingredients except for half a cup of sugar. Reserve that for the egg whites. Whip egg whites, when half way whipped add 1/2 cup of sugar, cream of tartar and vanilla bean paste. Keep whipping the egg whites till you get soft peaks. Fold the egg whites gently to the cake batter in batches. Grease and flour a 10 inch pan or two 8 inch round pans. Bake @325 degrees for 45 min If using 8 inch pans 35 min
