Caramel is just one of those things that takes desserts to a different level weather its drizzling it over apples pie, icecream, cinnabons, brownies, the list can go on. I never was a huge fan of caramel till I made this its soo much better then then the store bought jar. I'm sure we all have 10 min or less to make this. It actually takes longer to run to the grocery to buy some then making this at home, and it's made with only 4 ingredients.

Ingredients

1 cup of brown sugar ( light or dark works fine, tried it with both)

5 tbsp salted butter (extra tsp on the side)

1/2 cup of cream

1 tbsp of vanilla extract or 1 tsp of vanilla bean paste

Directions

Add all the ingredients in a sauce, turn the stove on to medium and keep whisking till everything is melted and the caramel starts to simmer. Dip a spoon in and you can tell if it sticks the caramel is done. Turn off the heat, add another tsp of butter and whisk. Let the caramel cool slightly and pour it into a bowl or a Mason jar. Store for a week in the fridge just stir and warm it up before use.
